Java Jive

From 2014 to 2016, I volunteered my graphic design expertise to support Java Jive, a well-known annual fundraiser in Madison, Wisconsin benefiting the Dane County Rape Crisis Center. Celebrated for its relaxed atmosphere, the event features live music, coffee, brunch, a raffle, and a silent auction—all aimed at raising awareness and support for sexual assault survivors. I created a range of marketing collateral for the yearly events, helping to elevate its visual presence and outreach. This volunteer experience allowed me to contribute to a meaningful cause while expanding my experience in nonprofit and event marketing design.

This annual fundraiser is very well known and marketed in the Madison area. Therefore, there is plenty of graphic design collateral to create! From the initial conversation about concepts for color, theme, and graphics to perfecting the initial design, the entire process was organized and well communicated. I created the graphics for everything surrounding this annual event including the invitation mailers, poster design, print advertisements in magazine and newspaper publications, website banner ads, and of course, the coffee mug!
